FLOS Tatou pendant

Artemide Tatou pendant

After a wonderful time spent in the Tate Modern Gallery in London on Sunday we had a nice lunch in a small bistro around the corner. Of course the lights caught my attention: the unique Tatou pendants designed by Patricia Urquiola for FLOS. Tatou is French for armadillo and you can easily see why the name is fitting. Overlapping, perforated, vertical bands are riveted together to form an armour-like structure with an organic feel. The polycarbonate exterior diffuser has an injection printed opal polycarbonate Internal diffuser. The support and base are painted steel.  The collection includes table, floor and suspension lamps.
