Artemide Issey Miyake IN-EI Collection
We are incredibly excited about having this incredible collection on display in our showroom. We actually remodeled our showroom around these fantastic pieces so their play of light and shadow would show in the best possible way. These sculptural lights grew from Miyake's unique ability to translate old Japanese tradition into the modern world.
The IN-EI ISSEY MIYAKE lighting collection is a collection of free-standing, table and hanging lights. Each lampshade is created using 2 or 3D mathematical principals, that together with Issey Miyake’s unique folding technology and a special surface treatment provide sufficient solidity, so no internal frames are needed. The IN-EI sculptural lights are made from a material derived from recycled re-treated fiber using PET bottles. Compared to the production of new materials, the technology used to create this sustainable material reduces both energy consumption and CO2 emissions up to 40%. The partnership with Artemide made it possible to apply cutting-edge, sustainable LED technology to these magical fixtures.
