Berlin's Border of Light

Berlin's Border of Light

It is hard to believe that it has been 25 years since the Berlin wall fell. This was the city (divided at the time) where we got married, I went to college and our kids were born. Even during those years it was a wonderfully inspiring place to be. Beginning of November 2014 this vibrant city was once again divided, this time by a light installation featuring 8000 illuminated white balloons. The "Lichtgrenze" (Border of light) was the brain child of Christopher and Marc Bauder. It marks the course of what was once a depressing wall, recalling the brutality of the era while celebrating the peaceful revolution.
