Small is beautiful: 460 sq ft of Scandinavian charm
This apartment downtown Gothenburg, Sweden reminds me a lot of an apartment we rented downtown Copenhagen not long ago.
It is in a wonderfully central location in Goteborg and was staged by the Swedish realtors
.
The interiors show the lightness of Scandinavian design that make 460 sq ft appear light, airy and almost generous. The lighting is as minimalistic as the decor: exposed Edison Bulbs, industrial work lights, and an Arne Jacobsen classic reading lamp next to the sofa.
The secret to not feeling claustrophobic in such close quarters is the sparing use of color. The kitchen cabinets and walls are white with the exception of a signature wall preserved in natural original brick. The floors are wood throughout the apartment.
