David Trubridge at Light + Building 2016

The show “Under” by David Trubridge was one of my favorite displays at Light + Building 2016 in Frankfurt. The name refers to the microscopic water creatures called Diatoms that are not only a vital part of life on Earth, but beautiful and graceful.

David Trubridge introduced several new designs derived from Diatoms that I fell head over heels in love with, Navilula, Formosa and Asterola. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until 2017 before thy will be available, sigh! The globe shaped creations are luckily available right now.
