Nostalgic for vintage bulbs
Around the Holidays and the shortest days of the year I always tend to get nostalgic, longing for the warm glow of candlelight. (I grew up in Denmark, after all. I don't know a nation on Earth that uses more candles.)
The good old Edison filament light bulb has regained popularity because it adds this cozy, romantic glow that makes a space appear intimate, yet festive. A color temperature of 2700K when fully lit, down to a warm orange hue of under 2000K when dimmed adds to the attraction At the same time the visible filament lends the lamp a slightly industrial, utilitarian touch, which makes this type of lamp (light bulb) a popular choice for urban bars and hip restaurants.
