LBL Mekanic, a shop light with LED sophistication

As a lover of industrial design, I smiled when I saw the Mekanic shop light designed by Dennis Beard for LBL Lighting. This utilitarian workhorse just got a completely new design.  Instead of a visible lightbulb the Mekanic was upgraded with a downward firing recessed LED light source. This makes it a unique contemporary pendant light. I will get to take more photos of it at Lightfair this week.
